Shanan Spencer-Brown is a respected leader and advisor in philanthropy and social impact, with more than two decades of C-suite experience at public, private, and corporate foundations. She is driven by a consistent purpose: to connect those who want to make the world a better place with the people and organizations doing just that.

Shanan brings a deep understanding of the charitable sector and social impact landscape. Working closely with organizations, families and individuals to help them articulate their values and goals, she offers practical, confidential guidance every step of the way as their philanthropic vision comes to life.
As a corporate philanthropy strategist, Shanan helps businesses of all sizes give back through meaningful community investment programs. Serving as Executive Director of the corporate foundations at TELUS and Royal LePage, she successfully engaged employees in giving and created innovative community partnerships, strengthening brand trust and customer loyalty.
Shanan advises foundations at every stage of growth – from start-up to maturity – planning and implementing effective governance models, grantmaking programs and operations. With a unique perspective gained from developing funder/non-profit partnerships, fundraising and grantmaking, she understands what is possible when generosity is activated with clarity, focus and confidence.
